Two distinct use cases
For streamers: IP privacy. Twitch streams expose connection metadata to anyone watching the stream's logs and to anyone analysing network traffic. The IP-derived location and ISP can be used to dox or swat streamers. A VPN routes the stream through a VPN exit; the streamer's home IP stays hidden.
For viewers in blocked countries: Twitch is blocked in mainland China and restricted in some MENA networks. A VPN to an unrestricted exit restores access. Fexyn Stealth (Reality + Vision) is the protocol class that works through Chinese DPI; standard VPN does not.

Where is Twitch blocked?
Mainland China blocks Twitch since 2018 (along with most foreign streaming and social platforms). Several MENA countries throttle Twitch periodically. India had brief Twitch issues in 2020. Most major democracies have Twitch unrestricted.
Why do streamers use VPN?
Three reasons. First, hiding the streamer's real IP from viewers and from network observers. Twitch can leak IP-derived location data unless the streamer routes through a VPN, and IP exposure can lead to swatting. Second, protection on public Wi-Fi when streaming from coffee shops, conferences, etc. Third, accessing Twitch from countries that block it.
Will VPN affect my stream quality?
Yes. VPN adds latency to your upload to Twitch's ingest servers. For most streamers, the latency cost is acceptable; for streamers chasing very-low-latency interaction (real-time chat reaction-to-game), the trade-off matters. Connect to a VPN exit close to a Twitch ingest server for minimal added latency.
Should I use Reality protocol for Twitch streaming?
Probably not unless you are streaming from a country that blocks Twitch. WireGuard (Fexyn Bolt) has lower overhead and lower latency, which matters for live streaming. Reality is the right choice only if you are in a country (China, Iran, partial MENA) where standard protocols are blocked.
