Where is Roblox blocked?
United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Oman, Qatar, and Iraq are the primary block list as of May 2026. Turkey blocked Roblox in August 2022 and remains intermittently restricted there. Some countries have age-related restrictions rather than full blocks (China, parts of Saudi Arabia at various times). The UAE block came in October 2024, citing concerns about voice chat and unmoderated user-generated content. The MENA cluster of blocks all stem from similar concerns.
Why do MENA countries block Roblox?
Stated reasons across the region: voice-chat moderation concerns, user-generated content that is hard to filter against local content rules, and age-verification gaps. The actual driver is Roblox's structural model: millions of user-created games, cross-region voice chat, hard-to-moderate text. None of this fits cleanly into the content-licensing and moderation regimes the region prefers. The blocks tend to come on quickly during periods of regulatory tension and stay on indefinitely.
Does a VPN unblock Roblox?
Yes, in countries where the block is at the network layer. UAE's Etisalat and du, Jordan's carriers, Oman's Omantel, Qatar's Ooredoo and Vodafone all implement DNS-level and IP-level blocks that a VPN routes around. The protocol matters: Etisalat and du run aggressive DPI that blocks standard WireGuard and OpenVPN. Is using a VPN for Roblox legal in the UAE?

Routine VPN use, including playing games that are network-blocked, has not produced documented prosecutions of UAE residents. Will my Roblox account work normally on a VPN?
Yes. Sign in with your existing account. Game state, Robux balance, friends, and progression all carry over. Roblox does not aggressively detect VPN traffic at the account layer. The friction is more about the network getting you to Roblox's servers than about Roblox checking your IP after sign-in.
Which Fexyn server gives the best latency for Roblox?
Roblox's servers are distributed globally. The game does region-matchmaking, so connecting from a Cyprus exit will put you on European Roblox servers; Ashburn will put you on US East servers. From the UAE, Cyprus is closest (typically 25-40ms VPN latency, then add Roblox's own server latency). Expect 30-60ms higher ping than non-VPN play would give. This is fine for Roblox; it is not as competitive as Valorant or PUBG so the latency budget is more forgiving.
